About Paul Lopez
Paul Lopez is a 20+ year technology veteran whose career has spanned multiple disciplines such as IT professional services, product development, software development, global marketing & PR, business development and operations. His industry experience includes telecommunications, semiconductor devices, voice & data networking, web & social media, biometric and identity management, application development and all things wireless. Paul Lopez is Vice President of Service Delivery for NEC Corporation of America. In his role, he is responsible for network and IT professional services delivery, U.S. field operations, project management, maintenance services and strategic planning for a $200M line of business P&L. Paul leads an organization of 400+ consultants, engineers, architects, developers, project managers, technicians and support personnel serving commercial and public sector enterprise customers. Areas of focus include network infrastructure; data center solutions, biometric & identity management, mobility solutions, unified communications, video solutions and industry application services.
Prior to NEC, Paul led the product development and marketing of wireless broadband services at T-Mobile USA for the enterprise segment. He has held senior management positions at Nortel Networks, IBM, AMD and National Semiconductor where he was instrumental in bringing innovative products and services to market. Paul holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and has completed MBA coursework at SMU and the Wharton School. He has served as an active member of IEEE including several standards committees related to computer networking and wireless technologies.
